Announcing the
33rd Annual Conference of the Textile Institute (NZ Section)
The Textile Institute (NZ Section) is holding its 33 rd Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting in Christchurch from 23-24 November 2007. The theme for the Conference will be Challenges and Opportunities for the New Zealand Textile Industry. Our line-up of distinguished speakers will deliver presentations on topics under the following headings:
- Impact of globalisation on the New Zealand textile industry
- New manufacturing technologies, including a review of ITMA 2007
- Lean manufacturing
- New product developments and innovations
- Where to for New Zealand wool?

The venue for the Conference is the Commodore Airport Hotel , 449 Memorial Avenue , Christchurch .

The panel of presenters for the Saturday sessions is currently being finalised and those contributing will be publicised in due course.
To encourage new members to join the Textile Institute, the Apparel and Textile Industry Training Organisation is sponsoring up to 10 registrations to the Conference for people in industry who are currently enrolled in ATITO training programmes.
