Join the TI Council
We are now taking nominations for various roles on The Textile Institute Council.
The TI Council is a group of people from around the world who represent their specialist areas and act as a voice for others, shaping the industry and supporting the Institute. We’d like to hear from you if you feel you can contribute. A range of roles will become vacant when the current members reach the end of their term or intend to stand down at the AGM in May. Where the number of nominees exceeds the number of vacancies, a vote will be held allowing the wider membership to choose which members will represent them on Council.
Anyone with full individual membership (not including student members) can apply to join Council, regardless of their role in industry or academia, at any point in their career.
To apply to join Council, a nomination form must be completed, signed by two proposers, and returned by Monday 2 March 2020. For full details of the election procedures, please visit the webpage and download a nomination form.
Elected members will be asked to attend the AGM and Council meetings in May 2020 to begin serving their three year term on Council.
If you would like to discuss the election process or what serving on Council entails, please email Becca Williamson, Governance and Communications Co-ordinator on bwilliamson@textileinst.org.uk.
