GUEST SPEAKER – DR MARK SUMNER
Dr Mark Sumner is a lecturer in Fashion and Sustainability at Leeds University.
Drawing on his extensive expertise in textile technology at Marks & Spencer, Mark’s research is particularly focussed on developing solutions for the circular economy and reducing waste to landfill.
Mark has featured on BBC5 Live’s drivetime show where he opened the discussion by reminding us that fashion is not entirely a negative industry!

PARKING: Parking is available at:- NCP, Southgate, Bradford, BD1 2AP
There are also several small car parks and some off-street parking but please be advised that there are regular patrols by traffic wardens and some areas are not very secure.
TRANSPORT LINKS: There are two railway stations serving the city – Bradford Forster Square Station (approximately 20 minutes walk) Bradford Interchange (approximately 10 minutes walk) Taxis are available at both stations for those who do not wish/are unable to walk. Bus and coach links to the city arrive at – Bradford Interchange Bus and Coach Station (approximately 10 minutes walk).
FOOD: There is a self-service café at the Dye House Gallery and a number of eating places around the area of the Gallery.
EXHIBITION OF AWARD-WINNING ENTRIES: All award-winning and commended entries will be exhibited at the Dye House Gallery on the following dates – 1st – 9th May (excluding weekends and the Bank Holiday)
10th May – Viewing at the Design Seminar
