The Textile Institute supports ITMA 2019 to connect to the latest in textile and garment innovations as industry trends towards digitalisation and sustainability
The Textile Institute is excited to announce that it has joined many international, regional and local industry organisations around the world to be a supporting organisation of ITMA 2019.
ITMA is the world’s largest international textile and garment technology exhibition. Held every four years since 1951, ITMA is the trendsetting textile and garment technology showcase where the industry converges to explore fresh ideas, effective solutions and collaborative partnerships for business growth.
The world is now on the brink of the fourth industrial revolution where smart factories are created by integrating production with information and communication technology. As such, there are strategic opportunities for textile and garment manufacturers to seamlessly integrate various intelligent products and processes to stay ahead of the competition.
Featuring a wide array of the latest automation and sustainable technologies and solutions under the theme – ‘Innovating the World of Textiles’, the upcoming ITMA will be held from 20 to 26 June 2019 in Barcelona at Fira De Barcelona, Gran Via, Spain.
Space at ITMA 2019 has sold out and new applicants are being put on a waiting list. The exhibition has attracted over 1,600 exhibitors from 46 countries to showcase their latest technologies and sustainable solutions for the entire textile and garment manufacturing value chain, as well as fibres, yarns and fabrics. It is expected to attract visitorship of over 120,000 from about 147countries.
