SUMMARY:iCongress: 4th Sustainable Textile and Fashion Congress (STFC)
DESCRIPTION:Venue: King’s House Conference Centre\, Manchester\, M1 7HB\, UK \nDate: 28 – 30 April 2025 \nThe iCongress\, supported by The Textile Institute\, is organising the 4th Sustainable Textile & Fashion Congress (STFC) on 28 – 30 April 2025 at the King’s House Conference Centre\, Manchester\, M1 7HB\, UK located in the heart of two university campuses. Academics\, researchers\, professionals\, independent consultants and policy makers are invited to submit abstracts targeting oral presentations by 31 January 2025 (extended deadline). \n\nCall for Papers \n​​The iCongress Innovation committee is inviting following three types of presentations/papers for oral presentation at the Sustainable Textile and Fashion Congress (STFC) and publication in the “iLetters”- an open access journal of innovations. : \n\n\nOriginal work (research in progress) that represents the findings from any research work that is in progress but at least 25% complete. \n\n\n\n\nOriginal work (research complete) that represents findings from any research work that is at least 75% complete.  \n\n\n\n\nReview work that presents a state-of-the-art picture of a theme or subtheme of any field of study. It could be a 5-year review\, 7-year review or a 10-year review of officially published materials or products. ​ \n\n\nThe duration of each presentation is 15~20 Minutes excluding Q&A.   \nSTFC covers the following topics\, but are not limited to: \n• Sustainable design of fibre\, yarn\, fabric and apparel \n• Sustainable production of fibre\, yarn\, fabric and apparel \n• Sustainable lifestyles and consumption \n• Sustainable policies and leadership \n• Circular economy for textiles and fashion \n• Technology innovations for sustainability  \n• Climate change and textiles/fashion \n• Consumer engagement\, communication and greenwash \n• Zero-waste and Zero-discharge production  \n• Green/sustainable chemistry \n• Industrial ecology and standards  \n• Life cycle assessment\, carbon and water footprinting \n• Life cycle costing and accounting \n• Social life cycle assessment \n• Supply chain management \n• Digitalisation and sustainability  \n• Sustainable and circular business models \n• Corporate social responsibility and transparency \n• Ethical fashion and eco-labelling \nAbstract submission: \niCongress are inviting researchers\, academics\, industry experts\, professionals and students to submit 200 words abstract using the submission form by the 31 January 2025 (extended deadline). Decision on acceptance is notified within 7 working days from the date of abstract submission.  \nAbstracts can be submitted through the iCongress submission form linked below. \nSubmit here \n​​Registration:  \nAll speakers are required to register by paying a fee. \nFees (for in-person physical event): \n\n\nEarly Bird registration fee – £290 (by 31 January 2025 extended) \n\n\nStandard registration fee – £330 \n\n\nStudent fee –  £250 \n\n\n\n\nDiscounted fee available for selected DAC-listed countries \n\n\nRegister here \n​Publication: \nShortlisted speakers will be invited to submit short manuscripts for publication in the “iLetters”- the open access journal of innovations (100% APC waiver applies for STFC Speakers). \n\nFor further details\, please click here.
