DESCRIPTION:Format of the event: Zoom webinar \nDate: Wednesday 6 April 2022 \nTime: 16:00 – 17:00 hrs BST \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGuest Speaker: Christopher Nieper OBE\, Chief Executive\, British Fashion Company \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDerbyshire based David Nieper has been making high class fashion in Britain for 60 years\, last year winning the Queen’s Award for Sustainability. While fashion is one of the world’s most polluting industries\, accounting for 8+% of global carbon emissions every year\, there is no clear plan of action yet from governments to address fashion’s contribution to the spiralling climate crisis. To help address the situation\, the company’s charitable foundation has launched an eco-label to be used nationwide by the UK fashion industry.
