SUMMARY:The Textile Institute Technical Textiles SIG: Where now for Graphene and 2D Materials in Textiles?
DESCRIPTION:Format of the event: Online \nDate: 12 May 2022 \nTime: 12:30 – 14:00 BST \n\n\n\nThis roundtable event\, with an invited panel of experts\, will explore key market opportunities and challenges for 2D materials in textiles.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGraphene and a variety of other 2D materials with a thickness of just a few atoms or less\, could transform our ability to engineer technical textiles with unique mechanical\, electrical and thermal properties. From electronic textiles to filtration\, composites\, functional coatings\, batteries and other high-performance applications\, the industrial opportunities for 2D materials are yet to be fully realised. \nA panel of industrial and academic experts has been gathered to help us navigate the opportunities and challenges that come from working with 2D materials. After short introductions the session\, which is being moderated by Mark Jarvis CEO of World of Textile Information Network (WTiN)\, will be open for you to pose your questions to the panel. \n\nClick here to register.
