The backbone to fashion is stylish plants! Tree2mydoor is an award-winning tree gifts company, using eco-friendly wrapping for expertly grown trees and shrubs. An alternative to the average, cliché gifts people usually receive and send, our plants are adaptable for everything from small gardens to offices.

We currently have an opening for an experienced Business Development Manager to join us – one of the UK’s leading eco-friendly gift businesses! We have worked with some of the UK’s biggest brands for over 10 years with our B2B offering delivering promotional campaigns and customised marketing materials that work amazingly well for our clients.

We’re based in the vibrant city centre of Manchester, Spinningfields, which is the perfect location for growth (pun intended.) It also has a lot of food options nearby for your lunch break and is surrounded by a plethora of restaurant, bars and venues which are perfect for Friday night.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year’s sales experience, accompanied with bags of energy and enthusiasm. If you’re fed up with selling products that you’re not motivated about, or that don’t align with your passion for the environment and making our planet more sustainable, this may be the job for you!

We’ve grown significantly in the last 3 years, so there is the opportunity to grow alongside us. We’re looking for someone with a great work ethic, strong negotiation and prioritisation skills, an eye for detail and all-round computer literacy skills (a great sense of humour is a bonus!)

This role is responsible for identifying and managing sales opportunities and turning prospects into long-term clients. There is also a focus on new business development, turning existing prospects into buying clients and liaising with existent clients, which is where those negotiation and prioritisation skills will come in handy!

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (after all, you will be using the phone a lot)
  • Works well under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and work well within a team
  • Isn’t intimidated by numbers
  • High attention to detail
  • Great time management
  • Friendly, outgoing personality
  • Full UK Driving License – some client visits will be necessary
  • Some experience in the corporate environments would be useful, as would any sales experience in the corporate plants sector specifically (we know that one’s a bit of a stretch, but you never know!)
