We’re looking for an enthusiastic Fashion Intern to join us at Gorgeous Couture. You’ll be helping our marketing and customer service teams with the every-day smooth running of GC, as well as assisting with various marketing, social media and e-commerce activities. You will need to be passionate and hardworking, and not one to shy away from getting stuck into a range of challenges and learning new skills.

We’re seeking a candidate who is able to assist with the following areas;

Customer service
To assist with customer service duties including answering emails, live chat enquiries, social media enquiries and Made to Measure enquiries. Help with picking and packing orders, helping to process returns.

Social media
To assist with managing all social media accounts; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+. Writing content, sourcing imagery and creating posts. Formulating content plans, scheduling posts and contributing to campaigns.

To help kick-start and manage the on-site blog. To create a content schedule, write and design posts, source imagery and create graphics.

To assist with managing and maintaining the website; writing product descriptions, uploading product info and imagery, cataloguing historic products, updating stock levels, merchandising categories.

Graphic/Digital Design
To assist with content creation for website homepages, social media, affiliate marketing and emails. To assist with product image editing and managing image archives.

To manage press requests and enquiries, to chase outstanding loans and manage samples.

Useful skills but not necessary. 

E-commerce experience

Social media management experience, creating content and interacting with customers across multiple platforms.

Photography and composition skills useful for content creation

Confident using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and MS Office

An understanding of SEO and PPC

Knowledge of using HTML

Good language and communication skills

Creative mindset and a keen interest in women’s fashion.

This internship is based Manchester and requires a minimum of 4 months’ commitment. Working days per week can be flexible to suit individual schedules and commitments. Travel and lunch expenses will be paid and there is free parking on site.
