The Textile Institute

Oliver Tang

As a Chartered Textile Technologist (CText ATI) and Chartered Colourist (CCol) with over 20 years of global leadership experience, I specialise in orchestrating end-to-end textile supply chain resilience.

My expertise bridges the gap between Western commercial demands and Asian manufacturing realities, specifically across the UK, China, and Hong Kong.  I offer consultation in the following key areas:

Supply Chain Resilience & Governance: Architecting cross-regional technical governance frameworks and scaling high-performance supplier ecosystems to mitigate operational risks and maintain bulk rejection rates below 2%.

Advanced Fibre & Yarn Engineering: Expert-level guidance on cashmere and fine fibre processing, yarn engineering, and production stability.

Colour Management & Standardisation: Precision-led technical authority on global colour standardisation, shade consistency, and lab-dip approval processes.  Technical-Commercial Alignment: Translating aesthetic requirements into executable engineering specifications to optimise supply chain yield and cost margins.

Taking a systems-thinking approach, I am available to consult on streamlining production workflows, rectifying process inefficiencies, and driving material waste reduction across global manufacturing operations
