The Textile Institute Supports Manchester Made & Regions Exhibition
The Textile Institute is pleased to be represented at Manchester Made & Regions, taking place on Wednesday 4 November 2026 at Manchester Hall.
The event brings together manufacturers, brands, retailers, buyers and industry leaders to explore how the UK’s fashion and textile manufacturing sectors can be strengthened and developed through increased domestic production, regional collaboration and more resilient supply chains.
Organised by Fashion-Enter Ltd and Source Fashion, with support from the Apparel and Textile Manufacturers Federation (ATMF), the event will examine the opportunities and challenges involved in accelerating the reindustrialisation of UK fashion and textile manufacturing.
Professor Jess Power, Chair of The Textile Institute, will join the opening panel discussion, What Will It Take? Reindustrialisation of the UK. The session will consider what needs to change to turn ambitions around UK manufacturing, onshoring and public procurement into meaningful opportunities and orders for British factories.
The programme will also explore British manufacturing, responsible sourcing, product durability and longevity, regional manufacturing capabilities and the commercial case for UK production.
Alongside the conference sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to meet manufacturers from Manchester and across the UK, discover their production capabilities and develop new business connections.
Manchester Made & Regions builds on the success of the Leicester Made & Regions event and forms part of a wider programme of regional initiatives designed to promote UK manufacturing and strengthen connections across the fashion and textile supply chain.
The Textile Institute welcomes opportunities to support discussions that bring together industry, education and manufacturing, helping to address the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
