The Textile Institute, in collaboration with Aquitex, is pleased to announce that Dr Michelle Rae, Dr Martens UK will be delivering a Keynote Address at the upcoming Textile Institute World Conference (TIWC).
Dr Michelle Rae is currently Global Director of Quality and Compliance at Dr. Martens, where she leads the company’s efforts to uphold the highest standards of quality and ethical manufacturing across the globe. With over 25 years of experience in the footwear and textile industries, Dr Rae has become a recognized authority in quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Throughout her career, she has built resilient, high performing teams and robust compliance systems whilst championing transformative initiatives in manufacturing processes, ensuring products meet both consumer expectations and stringent international standards. Dr. Rae is passionate about fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ethical responsibility within the textile and footwear sectors.
Her expertise and leadership have earned her numerous recognitions including: Lecturer of the Year and Freedom of the City of London. She is an active Livery member of the Framework Knitters, as well as an expert witness. She is published in her expert field of medical Textiles and of course a fellow of The Textile Institute.
