Currently located in Cork, Ireland with 40 years experience running factories in UK, Zimbabwe, Swaziland and Mauritius as well as South Africa at General Manager/Managing Director level.
Turnaround expertise making factories profitable – awarded FTI on the basis of turning around two factories. Areas of expertise ring spinning, winding, dyeing, printing, seamless knitting, denim manufacture, false twist and air textured yarns, air covered yarns, RFL dipping, costing systems, breakeven analysis, feasibility studies, commissioning factories. Other interests writing and delivering textile courses.
Written courses for ring spinning, rotor spinning and covered yarns courses for government training schemes, other courses warp preparation and sizing as well as producing interactive CD Rom courses on false twist texturing, air texturing and package dyeing. Presented a paper on seamless knitting at The Textile World Conference.
