Dr Hafeezullah Memon CText FTI is serving at the College of Textile Science and Engineering (International Institute of Silk), Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, and Material Scientist at Wuxi Paradise Textiles, China; and visiting scholar at Namangan Institute of Engineering and Technology, after completing his Ph.D. from Donghua University, China. He worked as a cotton spinning manager for mélange Yarn Manufacturing in Pakistan.

Academics Achievements

Dr Memon focuses on natural fibers and their spinning, woven fabrics, dyeing and finishing, digital ink-jet printing, textile marketing, and recyclable and smart textile composites. Since 2014, Dr Memon has published more than 50 peer-reviewed technical papers in international journals and conferences, edited three books, filed ten patents, and worked on more than ten industrial projects. He has served as a reviewer and editor of several international journals and has reviewed more than 500 papers. Societies and Memberships

He is a member of The Textile Council (Textile Institute) and Textile Foundation Committee (Textile Institute) and the Chairman of international student alumni at ZSTU, Hangzhou. Dr. Memon has remained a member of the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (Vice President for SAMPE-DHU Chapter) and a full professional member of the Society of Wood Science and Technology and International Textile and Apparel Association. Moreover, he is a registered Engineer of the Pakistan Engineering Council.

Awards and Fundings

Dr Memon is a recipient of the National Natural Science Foundation of China for 2022 and the CSC Outstanding Award of 2020 by the Chinese Scholarship Council, China. He is also the recipient of the industry-academia cooperation project between ZSTU, Hangzhou, and Wuxi Paradise Textile mills, China. He was awarded the Excellent Social Award for three consecutive years during his doctoral studies by International Cultural Exchange School, Donghua University, China, and once Grand Prize of NZ Spring International Student Scholarship and third Prize of Outstanding Student Scholarship Award in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

Participations

He presented Sustainability aspects as keynote speaker at ICSTT-2021. He presented recyclable composites and won the Second Prize at Tianjin Polytechnic University, China. He received the Excellent Oral Presentation Award in 2018 at the 7th International Conference on Material Science and Engineering Technology held in Beijing, China, and Best Presentation and Best Research Paper at the Student Research Paper Conference 2012, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Pakistan. He has also received the “Fun with Flags-Voluntary Teaching Award” and “Jing Wei Cultural Ambassador” by International Cultural Exchange School, Donghua University, China, and the international exchange project “Around the Globe” of the Experimental School affiliated with Donghua University, China, for the I-Teach Program.
