He has over a decade of experience taking smart textile and wearable systems from concept through to prototyping, validation, IP generation and scalable manufacture. Michael John has held senior innovation and engineering roles in connected garment businesses, is named on 220+ patent applications, and provides expert witness, technical due diligence and product development support across smart fabrics, wearables, biosensing and textile-integrated electronics. His research is focused on scalable manufacturing processes for fully integrated e-textiles.
