Prof. Engr. Dr. Hafsa Jamshaid
I am a Chartered Textile Technologist (CText FTI),International Professional Engineer (IntPE), and Professor of Textile Engineering at the National Textile University (NTU), Pakistan, with more than 22 years of experience in textile engineering, applied research, industrial consultancy, and international collaboration. I am recognized as the only International Professional Engineer (IntPE) in Pakistan in the field of Fabric Structure by the International Engineering Alliance (IEA).
My expertise encompasses technical textiles, advanced fabric structures, weaving and knitting technologies, textile composites, protective textiles, sustainable materials, textile recycling, and circular economy solutions. I provide consultancy to industry, academia, and government organizations in product development, process optimization, laboratory establishment, technology transfer, research commercialization, and engineering innovation.
I have successfully led national and international collaborative research projects and have authored more than 90 peer-reviewed publications, 8 books, and over 30 book chapters with internationally recognized publishers including Springer, Elsevier, and Woodhead Publishing. My research focuses on advanced fibres, high-performance textile composites, smart and functional textiles.
