Roshan Unmar
I have worked in a vertically integrated textile company that converts yarns into finished garments made of fine-gauge knitted fabrics. I did my PhD on the geometrical modelling of yarns and woven fabrics for the photorealistic rendering of their computer images. I am now supervising PhD projects in the fields of thermo-physiological comfort of textiles and sustainable design of textiles including waste minimisation and circular design. I also give lectures in the field of fashion technology. My fields of specialisation are therefore:
– Modelling of textile structures
– Thermo-physiological comfort of textiles
– Sustainability and circular design of textiles
– Fashion technology
