Sheila Kennedy

I am available for management consultancy and/or project work, my many years of experience covers fashion, corporate clothing, technical outdoor and sportswear.  I have worked with vendors all over the world, for brands including among others J. Barbour & Sons, Umbro International (part of Nike Inc at the time), Rockport Inc (part of adidas at the time), and Regatta Ltd. I have experience of SME (10-15 employers) as well as large organisations.

I am a well organised leader with successful experience in team management, process improvement, product development, and sourcing and vendor management. I am expert in coaching and inspiring teams to expand performance margins and increase productivity. Also skilled in bespoke process improvement to enhance overall target achievement and streamline business operational efficiency. I am flexible, with a proven record of business transformation, creative problem solving and reducing costs. Influential in leveraging opportunities to review business methods and enhance operating models.

Friendly, easy going, curious, a good communicator, and able to bring perspective. Recently successfully delivered 12 month project for Barbour, frequently recruited to internal business project teams.

  • Successfully designed & implemented full end to end product creation process transformation turning a start up into a professional organisation primed for growth and expansion
  • Achieved ambassador and catalyst plaudits for developing new fashion and teamwear sector cultivating process and reactivity improvement to expand category. Accelerated sales revenue to parallel with established performance division in less than 3 years
  • In recognition of operational change & improvement skills, recruited internally by 3 different employers as core member of project teams implementing new Product Lifecycle Management IT systems throughout businesses

At University I studied and gained 4-year ACFI Clothing Management Course, Parts I and II, passed with credit.
