I have been an individual member of the Institute for more than 25 years.
- I am a Masters in Textiles degree holder from VJTI Institute, Mumbai, India in 1988 with a thesis on Nonwovens and Geo textiles.
- Since the beginning of my career, I am involved in Global Marketing of Yarn and Fabrics like Cotton, Polyester, Nylon, Wool, Viscose etc.
- I worked for several Multinational Textile companies based in India-Indonesia-Estonia-South Africa-Turkey. I oversaw the implementation of a greenfield spinning project for several large multinationals that involved lenders like IFC and DEG.
- I am running my own company (Rama Dis Tic ve Dan Ltd Sti) for 20 years, based in Istanbul/Turkey, mainly importing all kinds of yarns/Fabrics from countries like, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Nepal, Bangladesh etc.
- I have setup a company, Pangea Inc Ltd in UK to promote technical textiles and made ups in to UK market.
- I have in-depth subject knowledge of Global fiber/yarn/fabrics marketing, logistics, banking.
- I have skills in Marketing, Management, Reports, and financial management. In depth knowledge of Textile raw material and the functional consequences in to apparel. I speak 4 languages, English, Hindi,Turkish,Kannada.
I could work on tailor made consulting projects with product focused/country focused/process focused objectives.
