Dr John Roy McPhee CText FTI
The Textile Institute is sad to announce the death of Dr John Roy McPhee CText FTI, a past World President of The Textile Institute.
Dr McPhee joined the Institute in 1967 and his interest in its work over the years has been greatly appreciated by all who knew him. In 1967 he was presented with the TI Professional Qualification LTI and in 1969 the TI Chartered Professional Qualification CText FTI. He was elected to World President of The Textile Institute by his fellow members of Council in 1983 and held office until 1985. Dr McPhee remained on Council until 1999 and gave much time and dedication to the work of the Institute.
