Proposal for Change to Individual Membership Subscription Renewal Dates

Currently, the Individual Membership anniversary date for subscription payment is set by the month in which the member originally joined. A more streamlined and efficient way of collecting fees would be to move to bi-annual collection dates.

Payments made by annual Direct Debit for UK members, and those paying in advance of their due date, will still secure a 5% discount.

Members are asked to vote on the proposal that:

From 2020, The Textile Institute moves to having two anniversary dates for subscription renewals from Individual Members: January 1st and July 1st.

Council Members believe that this change to the Individual Membership subscription model represents a fair and necessary change and trust it will meet with members’ approval.
