Dr. Peter Dinsdale, The Textile Institute World President.

At The Textile Institute Annual General Meeting in May its membership unanimously voted Dr Peter Dinsdale CText FTI as the new World President. Dr Dinsdale is currently Chairman of Trigon Diligence Ltd, a London, UK, based consultancy, and is also a Visiting Professor at Nottingham Trent University, UK. Dr Dinsdale, is a specialist in the fibre, textile and garment sectors, he recently retired from being principal industry specialist (textiles) at the World Bank/International Finance Corporation (IFC) where he worked on the selection, appraisal and supervision of a variety of fibre and textile investment projects in emerging markets. Mrs. Helen Rowe, The Textile Institute Chairman Elect

At The Textile Institute Annual General Meeting in May, its membership unanimously voted Mrs Helen Rowe CompTI CText FTI as Chairman Elect, to stand as Chairman for May 2013. Mrs Rowe, is the acting head of department for the Department of Clothing Design and Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University, she began her career in industry as a textile technologist, rising to the position of laboratory manager with Courtaulds Ltd before moving into higher education and transferring both an enthusiastic thirst for the knowledge of textiles and industrial experience to successive cohorts of students studying at educational institutions across the UK’s Northwest.
