The Textile Institute is a unique organisation in textiles,
clothing and footwear. It was incorporated in England by
a Royal Charter granted in 1925 and is a registered charity.
The Institute has individual and corporate members in up to
80 countries, the membership covers all sectors and all
disciplines in textiles, clothing and footwear. Within the global textiles, clothing and footwear industries the aim of the Institute is to facilitate learning, to recognise achievement , to reward excellence and to disseminate information.
The Textile Institute is pleased to announce the date for their next world conference which will be held in Manchester on the 3rd & 4th November 2010. We are now seeking papers for this conference. Please click HERE for full details.
The Textile Institute Council Nominations for 2010 are now open. Complete details in the Member's Only section of the website. The Council is the Institute's international governing body, and is composed of nominees from the duly constituted Section, National & Group Committees and an equal number of members elected by the membership at large. The constitution of Council and the conduct of elections to it are, closely governed by the Institute's Charter and Byelaws
